Coming up next weekend (Thursday 18 – Saturday 20 August) at Thistle Hall on the corner of Cuba St and Arthur St (mind the bulldozers!) is the Word Festival 2005. It's billed as "A Celebration of Communication" and includes stories and poetry readings along with workshops and markets. Here's the full schedule:
